Night images are tricky, since the scenes have a tendency to fool the camera’s light metering. If you have a digital with a screen and manual control, you can keep trying until you no longer have “blown” highlights. If handheld, remember to keep your shutter speeds at least 1/30 of a second to avoid camera movement blur. Otherwise, use a tripod or brace yourself.
